The Wellington was formerly known as the Cask and Culter and is one of Sheffield's top real ale pubs. Positioned near the Shalesmoor tram stop, it is good place to start or finish your evening on the 'Real Ale Trail'.
From the outside, the Wellington looks pretty dingy (although it looks a lot better than it did when it was the Cask!) once you step inside you will be treated to a hunge range of real ales from several regularly changing guest breweries. There is the central bar area with a small room on one side of the pub, with a lounge bar on the other side. There is also a small beer garden at the rear which has been created since the smoking ban.
Prices are very reasonable and there is a decent range of traditional bar snacks like crisps and pork scratchings. The staff are very friendly and will help you choose the right beer for you. Highly reccomended! -

This is a lovely looking place, a proper pub and no mistake!
Enjoyed Autumn Gold and Newton Hall (from Harleys). This is one of the only places you can get beers from Little Ale Cart brewery
There was a dog in the pub that looked like a wolf! -

I love this place..it is a real community pub. It accommodates us footie fans, as well as sering local families. It is how pubs should be if they want to survive.
